Symphony on the Bay began in September of 1973 as the McMaster Symphony Orchestra, a campus-community orchestra under the leadership of Dr Lee Hepner. In the turbulent under-laminar air layer, more or less visible roll shaped clouds (cumulus or stratocumulus) mark the different waves. When the air moisture content is high, bands of clouds which vary in thickness and length form parallel to the relief. When the air moisture content is low, they disappear completely or are limited to very mobile and short-living light clouds. These clouds are known as rotor clouds or roll clouds. Below the roll clouds, pilots will more than likely experience strong turbulence and winds opposite to the wind gradient, which can make flying generally much more interesting and perhaps hazardous.

To provide the increased mass handling capability and mobility of Canadarm2, Latching End Effectors(LEE) have been designed to provide power and data signals at both ends of the arm.(These are the devices that provide the actual electrical and mechanical interface to the Power Data Grapple Fixtures... The precision alignment of the mating connectors is achieved through the introduction of a matching pair of curvic couplings.

Binding of the TATA Binding Protein(TBP) to the TATA box is the first step in the formation of the transcription pre-initiation complex(Nakajima, et. al, 1988). TBP demonstrates DNA binding properties unique among the sequence-specific DNA binding proteins, namely a strong temperature dependence of binding and slow on/off rates(Horikoshi, et. al, 1988; Lee, et. al, 1992). In this study, the temperature dependent binding of yeast TBP(yTBP) to the TATA box consensus sequence from adenovirus major late promoter is characterized. Equilibrium dissociation constants(Kds) were determined for yTBP binding to the TATA box at both 25° C and 37° C.
