1, record 6, French, - PCR%20par%20d%C3%A9placement%20de%20coupure

Symphony on the Bay began in September of 1973 as the McMaster Symphony Orchestra, a campus-community orchestra under the leadership of Dr Lee Hepner. The Inaugural Concert took place at Mohawk College Theatre on November 29, 1973. Registered as a charitable organization in 1981, the orchestra left McMaster University in 1988 and became the Greater Hamilton Symphony Association, an independent community orchestra operating under the name of Symphony Hamilton. The orchestra still maintains its original objectives : to perform symphonic music of high quality; to stimulate excellence in instrumental performance; to support, improve, and expand the musical opportunities for those living in the Hamilton and Burlington regions. 1, record 14, English, - Symphony%20on%20the%20Bay

4, record 17, French, - foehn

The X-Men are a fictional Marvel Comics superhero team. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, they debuted in the X-Men n° 1, published in september 1963. The central theme of the series is that the X-Men are superheroes who acquired their powers from birth rather than through incident or design(similar to the Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, and Captain America). Most of them are initially teenagers who learn how to use their powers at a special school run by Professor Charles Xavier(though the "school" takes the feel of a military academy given that the X-Men's powers are used mainly for conflict and are often sent into battle). The X-Men are fictitious mutants who, as a result of a sudden leap in evolution, are born with latent superhuman abilities that generally manifest themselves at puberty. 1, record 24, English, - X%2DMen

A flow approaching a mountain barrier will most likely go over the barrier rather than around it if the barrier is long, if the cross-barrier wind component is strong, and if the flow is unstable, near-neutral, or only weakly stable. These conditions are frequently met in the United States because the long, north-south oriented mountain ranges lie perpendicular to the prevailing westerly winds and the jet stream. Mountain barriers orientated perpendicular to the flow cause the highest accelerations across the barrier and frequently generate lee waves downwind of the obstacle as well as downslope windstorms. 1, record 38, English, - mountain%20barrier

Heat lows or thermal troughs often build north along the coasts of California and Oregon in the summer. Thermal troughs can cause "east winds" in the Washington and Oregon Cascades. If however, a relatively strong disturbance in the upper atmosphere moves across the NW, it will force the thermal trough east of the Cascades. In most cases, a moderate to strong push of marine air will follow, along with strong, gusty, west winds along the east slopes of the Cascades. Gusty winds and thunderstorms can be associated with the passage of a thermal trough. 2, record 51, English, - thermal%20trough

A front may have troughing along its length, but not all troughs are frontal! Indeed, not all troughs have ’weather’ associated with them in the cloud/rainfall sense. Lee troughs found downwind of a major range of hills/mountains are often cloudless, and thermal troughs forming over land during the day due to mesoscale heating may only be found by careful drawing of isobars : if the air is dry and/or stable, little significant cloud will be associated with this feature. 3, record 51, English, - thermal%20trough

The north westerlies of summer force humid air to rise against the western mountains, causing heavy rain in the west ... As the air sinks down on the eastern side of the mountains, it warms and the clouds quite often disperse. This is called the foehn effect and in summer it brings a hot, dry and very trying wind for a while to the Canterbury Plains inland of Christchurch. Then the wind becomes a southerly and for the rest of the year it brings cooler fresher air. 5, record 62, English, - foehn%20effect

... nacreous clouds... form at stratospheric altitudes(15-30 km) in local temperature minima caused by atmospheric "lee" waves. The waves form when strong winds blow from the Atlantic across the Scandinavian mountain chain, towards Kiruna. Nacreous clouds are one type of polar stratospheric cloud(PSC). PSCs are an important factor in the breakdown of stratospheric ozone-ozone destruction through reaction with active chlorine compounds proceeds much faster on the surface of cloud particles than it would if the clouds were not there. 3, record 70, English, - polar%20stratospheric%20cloud

Binding of the TATA Binding Protein(TBP) to the TATA box is the first step in the formation of the transcription pre-initiation complex(Nakajima, et. al, 1988). TBP demonstrates DNA binding properties unique among the sequence-specific DNA binding proteins, namely a strong temperature dependence of binding and slow on/off rates(Horikoshi, et. al, 1988; Lee, et. al, 1992). In this study, the temperature dependent binding of yeast TBP(yTBP) to the TATA box consensus sequence from adenovirus major late promoter is characterized. Equilibrium dissociation constants(Kds) were determined for yTBP binding to the TATA box at both 25° C and 37° C. 3, record 94, English, - major%20late%20promoter
