In 2018, Chicago procured two [multipurpose tractors] specifically for bike lane winter maintenance. [The] vehicles include a number of attachments such as drop spreaders for sand and salt, plows, rotary sweepers for bike lanes, and a power washer for cleaning green alleys, which will promote their usage for maintenance year-round. 4, record 1, English, - rotary%20sweeper

Losee's test... is similar to the jerk test, in that the limb is moved from flexion to extension. If the left knee is being tested, the examiner stands to the left of the patient, grasps the foot with his left hand, flexes the knee to about 40° and uses his abdomen as a fulcrum to apply a valgus stress to the knee. With his right hand he increases the valgus pressure, placing the fingers on the patella and the thumb behind the fibular head..., while simultaneously pulling the upper tibia forward. On subsequent extension, during which the lower leg may rotate inward, a lateral snapping will occur between the femur and tibia at about 20° if there is an anterior cruciate insufficiency with anterolateral rotatory instability... 1, record 6, English, - Losee%26rsquo%3Bs%20test

Gyroscopic precession ... When force is applied to a gyro, the device reacts as if the force had been applied at a point 90 degrees from the point of actual application, in the direction of rotation. Precession affects propellers, which act like gyros, and gyro instruments. Its principle effect is on the heading indicator, which tends to drift over time. 8, record 10, English, - precessional%20motion
Record number: 10, Textual support number: 2 CONT
A gyroscope will not only resist being moved out of its vertical position, it will also generate force as it attempts to travel in large, circular patterns. These patterns are most easily seen with a spinning top. As the top begins losing its energy, it never simply spirals straight down in the same direction that it was originally spinning. As it destabilizes, it will always begin slowly rotating or precessing in a slow, even circle that is in the opposite direction to its normal spinning motion. These circular patterns are known as "precessional" motions, and they are another aspect of a gyroscope’s movement that will occur either in air or in a vacuum and can be used to overcome gravity. 9, record 10, English, - precessional%20motion

If an airplane changes suddenly from a nose up to a nose down position, as is the case during the take-off roll in a tail wheel airplane, the airplane will yaw sharply to the left as the pilot shoves the wheel forward to raise the tail. A wingback is a member of a football, i. e. soccer team. They play on the left or right wing(that's one or other side of the pitch only), and combine 2 roles. They act as defenders, but also seek to move forward to attack where possible. However, moving forward can create a gap in defence... when the team the wingback is pressing against launches a speedy counter-attack on the break, and gets behind the wingback. 5, record 14, English, - wingback

With a few exceptions, instruments are mounted on a panel in the cockpit so that the dials are plainly visible to the pilot or copilot. Instrument panels are usually made of sheet aluminum alloy strong enough to resist flexing. The panels are non-magnetic and are painted with a nonglare paint to eliminate glare or reflection. In aircraft equipped with only a few instruments, only one panel is necessary; in some aircraft, additional panels are required. In such cases the forward instrument panel is usually referred to as the "main" instrument panel to distinguish it from additional panels on the cockpit overhead or along the side of the flight compartment. On some aircraft the main instrument panel is also referred to as the pilot's or copilot's panel, since many of the pilot's instruments on the left side of the panel are duplicated on the right side. 4, record 29, English, - overhead%20panel

A good understanding of the basic axis system used to describe aircraft motion is necessary to fully appreciate flight test data, since all measurements are referenced to this axis system. Aircraft translational motion is described in terms of motion in three different directions, each direction being perpendicular to the other two(orthogonal). Motion in the X direction is forward and aft velocity. The Y direction produces sideways motion to the left and right, and up and down motion is in the Z direction... There are several slightly different versions of the basic axis system just described. They differ primarily in the exact placement of the zero reference lines, but are generally similar in their directions.(For example, the body-axis system uses the fuselage center line as the x axis, while a wind-axis system uses the direction that the aircraft is moving through the air as the x axis.) 4, record 40, English, - body%20axis%20system

Ambler or cross-walker? Most mammals, including humans, are cross-walkers. When they put their right foot forward, the left arm moves forward. But some animals, for example, giraffes, always move both legs of one side at the same time. They are amblers. The gazelle is both. When taking slow steps, they amble. When they run, they change into cross-walk. When escaping, they often carry out bruising jumps. Cable-Reel Shuttle Cars... were introduced in 1939, the year following the first(battery) shuttle car. Practically all present shuttle cars are powered through cable reels. Reels usually hold 500 ft of cable and, therefore, the maximum haul distance should be kept under 400 ft whenever possible. Cable-reel cars are either standard-hand or opposite-standard-hand models. Standard-hand control means that the seats for the operator, together with the controls, are located on the left front or discharge end of the car similar to the operator's position in an American car or truck. An opposite-hand-control car would have the operator sitting on the right-hand side of the car facing forward when traveling to the discharge point. The cable reel always is located on the side opposite the operator. 1, record 62, English, - cable%2Dreel%20shuttle%2Dcar

(1) The radio rack venturi restrictor valve is installed in the forward end of the left utility tunnel. The valve is positioned upstream from the venturi, and functions to limit the amount of air discharged overboard. The valve is driven closed when the radio rack fan relay is energized, and is controlled by the same circuits as the fan. The valve is always closed when the airplane is on the ground.(2) The valve is a butterfly-type with clearance between the butterfly and the housing. In the closed position(butterfly positioned 90 degrees to airflow), the valve allows approximately 10 pounds of air per minute to flow through the discharge venturi. In the open position the airflow to the venturi is increased to approximately 20 pounds per minute. The valve actuator is operated by a 115-volt, 400-cycle electric motor. The actuator contains limit switches to stop the valve in the closed position, and to limit the rotation of the butterfly to 30 degrees when in the open position. 1, record 75, English, - radio%20rack%20venturi%20restrictor%20valve

The radio rack cooling fan is installed in the forward end of the left utility tunnel, in a section of ducting that bypasses the radio rack cooling overboard exhaust ducting.... The fan is used to create a flow of cooling air through the electrical and electronic equipment installations when the airplane is on the ground. The fan is also used to direct radio rack cooling exhaust air beneath the forward lower cargo compartment floor, to maintain temperature above freezing in the cargo compartment. The fan is an axial-flow type powered by a 115-volt, 400-cycle, 3-phase electric motor. 2, record 76, English, - radio%20rack%20fan
