A land mortgage is a type of mortgage loan which is used to purchase land or a lot, in contrast with a structure which has been built on a piece of land. Buyers of raw land usually purchase land with the intent of developing it or establishing a structure. Land mortgages are different from mortgages for structures because, from the point of view of a bank, land is a less secure investment. If someone defaults on a land mortgage, the bank will be left with an empty lot which could be difficult to resell.

The aircraft was initially aligned to the right of the lead-in line as it taxied onto the stand and hence the commander's attention was occupied primarily with the aircraft's correct azimuth alignment. The first officer's duty during this manoeuvre was to monitor the alignment and advise the commander of the aircraft's ground speed displayed on the EFIS(Electronic Flight Instrument System). He could not comment on the aircraft's progress in relation to the PAPA as his view of it was obstructed by a windscreen pillar and its alignment was set up for use only by the aircraft's left seat occupant.

V-bar : Flight Director Indicator... The V-bar command indicator is a pair of yellow, wedge-shaped V-bars that move up or down to command a climb or descent, and roll left or right to command a bank. The flight director system commands the V-bars to capture and track the selected heading or radio signals; or to maintain a desired pitch angle, glidepath, or an optimum speed during SC(speed command) operation. To satisfy the commands, the aircraft is maneuvered so that the airplane symbol is flown into the V-bars until the two are aligned. Input signals to the V-bars depend upon the mode of operation. The V-bars are biased from view by the instrument failure warning system; when loss of signal occurs, or sensing circuits fail that are associated with the selected mode of operation. They are also out of view when the mode selector control is in the OFF position.

Ambler or cross-walker? Most mammals, including humans, are cross-walkers. When they put their right foot forward, the left arm moves forward. But some animals, for example, giraffes, always move both legs of one side at the same time. They are amblers. The gazelle is both. When taking slow steps, they amble. When they run, they change into cross-walk. When escaping, they often carry out bruising jumps. They shoot up into the air on all four legs, as if they could get a better view of the area this way.
