The half-pirouette is a half-turn on the haunches. The forehand commences the half-turn, tracing a half-circle around the haunches, without pausing, at the moment the inside hind leg ceases its forward movement. The inside foot, while forming the pivot, should return to the same spot each time it leaves the ground. The prone leg extension(PLE) test is used by therapists who manually palpate the posterior muscles and observe trunk kinematics in an attempt to identify deviations from a supposed optimal. A dysfunctional firing pattern is assumed to exist when postural muscles(hamstrings and erector spinae) initiate the movement and a delay in gluteus maximus firing is evident. As well, inconsistent or altered firing patterns are assumed to be indicative of dysfunction. While dysfunctions in the trunk are hypothesized to alter the optimal firing pattern, distal dysfunction(ankle sprain) is also theorized to influence the proximal order of optimal firing patterns. An ankle sprain or lower leg injury is theorized to result in "imbalances" in the firing pattern of proximal muscles due to the dysfunction of distal segments. 4, record 13, English, - firing%20pattern

Dynamic stretching, according to Kurz, "involves moving parts of your body and gradually increasing reach, speed of movement, or both. "Do not confuse dynamic stretching with ballistic stretching! Dynamic stretching consists of controlled leg and arm swings that take you(gently!) to the limits of your range of motion. Ballistic stretches involve trying to force a part of the body beyond its range of motion. In dynamic stretches, there are no bounces or "jerky" movements. An example of dynamic stretching would be slow, controlled leg swings, arm swings, or torso twists. 1, record 15, English, - dynamic%20stretching

JUDO. A characteristic foot throw is de ashi harai [de-ashi-harai]. Tori first shifts uke's weight toward uke's left side. Using the bottom of his left foot, tori sweeps his opponent's right foot, putting opponent's weight entirely onto his left leg and without support on his right side. Tori sharply reverses direction of arm movement, wheeling opponent around and down in the direction of no support. Tori completes the throw by follow-through of arm and leg movements, pulling uke down as the swept foot is lifted, cross-body.
