To honour her memory, the Canadian Olympic Committee(COC) and the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women and Sport and Physical Activity(CAAWS) have partnered to recognize and pay tribute to Carol Anne's legacy by establishing the ‘Carol Anne Letheren International Sport Leadership Award’. The Canada Millennium Partnership Program will help Canadians to mark the new millennium in meaningful and creative ways. The objective of the Program is to encourage Canadians to create initiatives that explore our heritage; celebrate our achievements; build our future; and leave a lasting legacy.
