Cup-stacked carbon nanotubes (CSCNTs) differ from other quasi-1D carbon structures, which normally behave as quasi-metallic conductors of electrons. CSCNTs exhibit semiconducting behaviors due to the stacking microstructure of graphene layers. 3, record 3, English, - cup%2Dstacked%20carbon%20nanofiber
Record number: 3, Textual support number: 2 CONT
While carbon nanotubes(CNT) and carbon nanofibers(CNF) are both hollow, nanometer in scale, and produced in a similar manner, there are distinct differences which significantly impact their performance and ability to be processed. The primary differences between the materials are morphology, size, ease of processing, and price. Carbon nanofibers, also known as Stacked-Cup Carbon Nanotubes(SCCNT), have a unique morphology in that graphene planes are canted from the fiber axis, resulting in exposed edge planes on the interior and exterior surfaces of the fiber. CNTs, on the other hand, typically resemble an assembly of concentric cylinders of graphene. To illustrate the difference in morphology, Figure 1... shows a side by side comparison of A) multi-walled carbon nanotubes [MWCNT] and B) stacked-cup carbon nanotubes.... Figure 1. A) Multi-wall CNTs are composed of concentric cylinders of graphene where the basal planes form an inert surface. B) The stacked-cup structure of CNF has exposed graphitic edge planes along its length, providing opportunities for chemical modification of the surface for covalent bonding directly with the matrix. 7, record 3, English, - cup%2Dstacked%20carbon%20nanofiber

This article briefly describes the PRRS(porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome), which arose in the winter of 1990 in Germany and other European countries... The clinical picture of this new disease, which led to important economical losses is dominated by 1. an increased rate of reduced length of pregnancy with late abortion before day 110 or an increased length of pregnancy; 2. an increase in stillborn piglets; 3. a larger scale of preweaning mortality combined with a higher frequency of secondary infections... Pathological findings in piglets are subcutaneous edema, accumulation of fluids in the body cavities and sometimes interstitial pneumonia is observed... At present a non-classified virus, isolated by Dutch researchers is proposed to be the causative agent and named Lelystad virus. 4, record 8, English, - porcine%20reproductive%20and%20respiratory%20syndrome

3, record 10, French, - diffusion%20nucl%C3%A9aire%20r%C3%A9sonnante%20vers%20l%26rsquo%3Bavant

Mesojet... typically may have an along-flow length scale of tens to hundreds of kilometers and a cross-flow length scale of 100 km. Mesojets differ from planetary-scale jets, which can have length scales of several thousand kilometers, and synoptic-scale jets, which may have length scales of 1000-2000 km and are commonly found in association with progressive synoptic-scale troughs and ridges. Larger mesojets may also sometimes be known as jet streaks. Mesojets can form adjacent to prominent orographic features in association with terrain-channeled flow. Mesojets are also seen in association with organized mesocale convective systems as typified by the evaporatively driven rear-inflow jet commonly found behind active squall lines lines. Mesojets may also be found in conjunction with prominent lower-tropospheric stable layers where the airflow can become decoupled from the planetary boundary layer, especially at night. An exceptionally well organized lower-tropospheric mesojet extending over hundreds of kilometers might be known as a low-level jet. 3, record 26, English, - mesojet
