[The fisheries research service] agreed that the correct positioning of [a square mesh netting panel] was critical and concluded that the ideal location with a view to reduce the risk of twisting was in the top sheet at the end of the tapered netting section.... Furthermore[, ] if positioned at the end of the tapered section, the length and cutting rate of the main trawl body might have to be adjusted to allow for a shorter extension/codend length... This was to ensure enough netting to enable the codend to be hauled to the bag hatch, usually positioned on a vessel' s starboard side. 1, record 1, English, - tapered%20netting%20section

Carbon nanotubes have many structures, differing in length, thickness, type of helicity, and number of layers. Carbon nanotubes are unique nanostructures with remarkable electronic and mechanical properties. A carbon nanotube is an extremely small, thin, and hollow cylinder structure formed by rolling seamlessly a single layer of graphite. As other properties have been discovered, particularly strength, interest has grown in potential applications for example, in nanometre-sized electronics or to strengthen polymer materials. 5, record 2, English, - carbon%20nanotube

Duct lining or wrapping-A duct lining or wrapping is usually a sheet of porous material placed on the inner or outer wall(s) of a duct to introduce sound attenuation and heat insulation. It is often used in air conditioning systems. Linings are more effective in attenuating sound that travels inside along the length of a duct, while wrappings are more effective in preventing sound from being radiated from the duct sidewalls into surrounding spaces 2, record 6, English, - pipe%20wrapping

Lagging, pipe wrapping. Pipes and large ducts often transmit and radiate unwanted noise from pumps, valves, fans, and other equipment into quiet areas through which they pass.

The base consists of a white plastic sheet which is coated in a whirler with a sensitizer pigmented to match one of the process colors. It is then dried, exposed to the appropriate negative, and developed. After drying, the plastic is recoated with a pigmented sensitizer for a second color, dried, exposed to the next negative in register, and developed. This process is continued until the print is completed. 2, record 12, English, - Watercote

A form designer allows a forms manager to draw the form on screen and to define each of the fields that apply to that form. Traditionally, these types of applications generate a proprietarry(i. e. vendor-specific) form definition and style sheet. The form definition includes a list of fields used in the form along with their definitions and associated attributes which specify such details as : masking information, security, data type, field length, etc. The style sheet defines the background of the form, for example there may be horizontal and vertical lines, boxes, field labels and user instructions, shading, etc. 1, record 22, English, - form%20shading

The value shown on the graphical scale is its actual length on the original drawing, regardless of the scale used for preparing the drawing. 1, record 36, English, - graphical%20scale

Profile : A wrought product of uniform cross-section along its whole length, with a cross-section other than rod/bar, wire, tube, sheet or strip, supplied in straight lengths or in coiled form. According to the form of its cross-section, it is called : a) Hollow profile. The cross-section includes either one enclosed void, provided that the cross-section is other than tube, or more than one enclosed void. b) Solid profile. The direction of the [induced magnetic] field [of buried conducting bodies] is most generally measured by the dip-angle method(...). The source loop is in the vertical plane, and the receiving loop is linked to an inclinometer which is used to measure the angle with the horizontal of the plane in which it lies when the voltage induced in it is a maximum.(...) Dip angle measurements when properly interpreted can yield information on horizontal location, strike, dip, length and conductivity of a buried conducting sheet. 1, record 40, English, - dip%2Dangle%20method
