The [fishing] vessel runs at the speed of about two knots pulling the trawl nets. The net is hauled at a speed of about 25 meters/minute with the warping drum driven by the main engine. The pulling force of the net is about 400 kg.... The net is composed of two long wings and a cod-end, so it looks like a pair of trousers. The length of each warp is 150 meters, and the warp is hauled by a warping drum driven from the main engine. 2, record 1, English, - warping%20drum

Color space-dyeing is a form of yarn dyeing which is again coming into use. It is an ancient craft to which different local names, such as tie-dyeing, have been applied. It refers to the coloring of yarns at intervals spaced along the yarn length.... this form of dyeing arose spontaneously and became a part of the textile craft tradition. In many places, tie-dyeing methods were the only ones used to create pattern in a fabric. The Japanese, for instance until fairly recently used tie-dyed yarns for the warp and weft of fabrics to produce a diversity of interesting and popular designs.... Developments in technique.... mechanized methods have replaced the ancient laborious ones of applying color space-dyeing. 1, record 2, English, - color%20space%2Ddyeing

3, record 2, French, - chinage%20par%20teinture

Warp and weft yarns lie to a certain extent in a wavy form in a fabric. There is, therefore, a difference in length between straightened yarns and the yarns in the wavy form in the fabric, both in warp and weft direction. In order to be able to produce the fabric required, information is needed for predicting the length, width and mass per unit area of the fabric. This difference in length between the yarn and the fabric is usually referred to as crimp, a parameter which is significant for the structure of the fabric and also for the pore shape and size. When the fabric is loaded there is often a change in the ratio of the crimp of the warp and weft system. This change is referred to as crimp interchange. Crimp affects the mechanical properties of the fabric. 1, record 12, English, - crimp%20interchange

An inorganic, woven glass fiber fabric coated with hot asphalt coating. This leno weave glass is produced by interlocking two parallel warp(length) ends. The low number of count threads per inch gives this product more pattern stability while maintaining excellent tensile strength and conformability to irregular surfaces. 2, record 18, English, - crimp%20of%20yarn%20in%20fabric
