New Beginnings for Youth is an Ottawa based not-for-profit charitable organization serving the needs of youth since 1986. It offers a variety of programs that encourage life long learning outside of the traditional classroom. A small team of professional staff are supported by a wide range of multi-disciplined volunteers. A dedicated team of volunteer Board members ensures that programs continue to effectively meet the changing needs of youth. As a charitable organization, the programs are supported through bingos, special events, project grants, private donations and cafe revenues. In-kind support and the community partnerships ensure low administrative overhead costs allowing funds to go directly into programs and services assisting youth. 1, record 2, English, - New%20Beginnings%20for%20Youth

Process simulations are different from other simulations in several important ways. The student neither participates in the simulation as with situational simulations, nor constantly manipulates it as in physical or procedural simulations. Rather, the student selects values of various parameters at the beginning of the simulation, and then watches the process occur without intervention. 1, record 3, English, - process%20simulation
Record number: 3, Textual support number: 2 CONT
Another common distinguishing feature of process simulations is that they are either an accelerated or slowed-down version of the real process. That is, they alter the rate at which the process occurs in real life to one that enhances the learning process. Some actions happen too fast to see, such as the movement of electrons or the passage of light. Others take so long that it is difficult to gain perspective of the process, such as the movement of the stars or the growth of populations. 1, record 3, English, - process%20simulation
