SSDS is characterized by sudden and fatal cardiac arrhythmias, primarily associated with the abuse of volatile solvents like butane, propane, and aerosol sprays. The exact mechanism of SSDS is not fully understood. Still, it is believed that these substances sensitize the heart to certain triggers, leading to irregular heart rhythms that can be life-threatening. It is crucial to emphasize that SSDS is a rare but grave outcome of inhalant abuse, underscoring the high risks associated with these substances. 2, record 10, English, - sudden%20sniffing%20death%20syndrome

What is pyometra? ... Pyometra is a secondary infection due to hormonal changes in a female’s reproductive tract. Following estrus (heat), progesterone levels remain elevated for several weeks, stimulating the uterine lining to thicken in preparation for pregnancy. If pregnancy does not occur for several estrus cycles, the lining increases in thickness until cysts form in the uterus. This condition is called cystic endometrial hyperplasia. The thickened cystic lining secretes fluids, creating an ideal environment where bacteria can grow. 1, record 11, English, - pyometra

La découverte du virus du Nil occidental date de 1937 en Ouganda, dans le district du Nil occidental, ce qui lui a valu son nom. Since 1992, Human Resources Development Canada(HRDC) and Revenue Canada(RC) have had an ad hoc process in place to respond to requests from victims who are trying to change their identity to escape life-threatening spousal abuse. Through this process, victims are provided with a new, delinked(no computer links) Social Insurance Number(SIN). Canada Pension Plan, tax and social benefit records are also securely recreated under the new SIN. Because of concerns about client safety, HRDC and Revenue Canada have initiated an interdepartmental project to complete in-depth work with other federal partners, the provinces and territories to determine whether a nationally co-ordinated New Identities Program can be implemented. This initiative seeks to support the justice system by addressing the concerns of victims of extreme family violence in relation to safety, restitution and the prevention of further violence. 1, record 47, English, - New%20Identities%20for%20Victims%20of%20Abuse

Staphylococcus aureus is a Gram-positive coccus, which appears as grape-like clusters when viewed through a microscope and as large, round, golden-yellow colonies, often with ß-hemolysis, when grown on blood agar plates. The golden appearance is the etymological root of the bacteria’s name: aureus means "gold" in Latin. ... Today, S. aureus has become resistant to many commonly used antibiotics. ... Methicillin was the first antibiotic in its class to be used (it was introduced in 1959), but only two years later, the first case of methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) was reported in England. 2, record 48, English, - Staphylococcus%20aureus
