Tokamak... is an acronym created from the Russian words, "TOroidalnaya KAmera ee MAgnitnaya Katushka, "or "Toroidal Chamber and Magnetic Coil, "and denotes a class of systems for the toroidal magnetic confinement of thermonuclear fusion plasmas.
