The New York Mercantile Exchange(NYMEX) is the world's largest physical commodity futures exchange located in New York City. Its two principal divisions are the New York Mercantile Exchange and the New York Commodities Exchange(COMEX) which were once independent companies but are now merged. The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. is currently a large private company. The New York Mercantile Exchange handles billions of dollars worth of energy products, metals, and other commodities being bought and sold on the trading floor and the overnight electronic trading computer system. The prices quoted for transactions on the exchange are the basis for prices that people pay for throughout the world. In 1933, the COMEX was established through the merger of four smaller exchanges : the National Metal Exchange, the Rubber Exchange of New York, the National Raw Silk Exchange, and the New York Hide Exchange. On august 3, 1994, the NYMEX and COMEX finally merged under the NYMEX. Now, the NYMEX operates in a state of the art trading facility and office building with two trading floors in the World Financial Center in downtown Manhattan. 3, record 9, English, - New%20York%20Mercantile%20Exchange

Commodity exchanges developed in cities which were transportation or trading centres for commodities. New York was still called New Amsterdam when an open market developed along the Manhattan Island waterfront. Here businessmen traded grain, fats, oils and provisions under the very bows of the ships that carried produce to world markets and brought silks to New York. Today this exchange is known as the New York Produce Exchange. It is one of several exchanges in that city providing facilities for trading in many basic commodities including grain. 1, record 13, English, - New%20York%20Produce%20Exchange

The Bruce Heavy Water Plant consists of two enriching units and one finishing unit. Each enriching unit consists of three stages of enrichment to concentrate the deuterium from 0.14% to 30% at a rate of 1344 kg/hr (2964 lbs/hr). (...) Should the enriching units product concentration be as low as 30%, the finishing unit will be capable to effect the necessary concentration up to 99.75%. 2, record 21, English, - heavy%20water%20concentration%20unit

Preparation : In the preparation of [deuterium oxide] from natural water, advantage is taken of the differences in physical and chemical properties of the different isotopic species.(...) A method more suitable for natural water is one involving distillation. Since HDO and [deuterium oxide] have lower vapor pressures than [water], they can be separated from [water] by distillation.(...) 2, record 21, French, - Unit%C3%A9%20de%20concentration%20d%27eau%20lourde
