The concept of the Internet of Robotic Things(IoRT) combines the Internet of Things(IoT) and [cloud robotics]. In IoT, things are physically connected to each other via the Internet and mapped virtually, which enables a comprehensive exchange of data and information as well as interaction with people via offered services. In [cloud robotics], a network of robots is extended by a cloud, which provides additional computing capacity and data sources and thus significantly expands the possibilities for cooperation. The IoRT is a concept that makes robot services accessible to other robots, things and users. With this functionality, applications can be offered that exceed the potential of an IoT, as robots are added to the network that can physically manipulate their environment, interact with it actively and act partially autonomously. 4, record 1, English, - Internet%20of%20Robotic%20Things

To be an analytical biochemist, you must be curious, meticulous, and driven to discover. Analytical biochemists are proficient at advanced biochemical techniques such as liquid or gas chromatography—isolating the components of a sample for further investigation. Another technique commonly used by analytical biochemists is liquid-liquid extraction—a technique that uses liquids with different properties to separate contents of a solution for collection and analysis. An analytical biochemist will typically examine and manipulate various samples with the goals of identifying a sample's components and determining how the individual components can be used for further discovery of new or significant compounds. 2, record 6, English, - analytical%20biochemist

There are some similarities between dry needling and acupuncture. Both use thin needles inserted at various depths to treat symptoms. The health care professional also may gently move or manipulate the needles after placement. Both acupuncture and dry needling are safe treatments, and usually are part of a larger treatment plan.... However, there are significant differences between acupuncture and dry needling.... Dry needling is a newer treatment and evolved in the last few decades. It focuses exclusively on treating musculoskeletal and neuromuscular pain by releasing trigger points. While sponge forceps have proven useful in a variety of new surgical techniques, their primary arena has traditionally been gynecological, surgical female sterilization, and abortion procedures. This is because sponge forceps have the ability to grip and manipulate tissue during examinations and minor surgeries with a minimum of damage and trauma.... Surgeons consider them standard thoracic instruments when performing lung surgeries such as bullectomies. The blunt tips these devices offer prove excellent tools to grasp and collapse the lung and manipulate lung tissue for complete exploration.... Surgeons will also use sponge-holding forceps with tonsil wipes to treat pleural abrasions, and they will often use them in colposcopy operations to hold dry or moist cotton balls. The tong-like tips of sponge forceps make them excellent tools when handling sponges, gauzes, or sensitive medical supplies. 9, record 59, English, - sponge%20forceps

New methods of acoustic imaging are presented that provide images with reduced reverberation noise and images of nonlinear scattering and propagation parameters of the object, and estimation methods of corrections for wave front aberrations produced by spatial variations in the acoustic propagation velocity. The methods find use in a variety of applications such as acoustic imaging of geological structures, SONAR imaging of sub-sea objects, and medical ultrasound imaging. The methods are based on processing of the received signal from transmitted dual frequency band acoustic pulse complexes with overlapping high and low frequency pulses. The high frequency pulse is used for the image reconstruction and the low frequency pulse is used to manipulate the nonlinear scattering and/or propagation properties of the high frequency pulse. 3, record 73, English, - acoustic%20imaging

A hexapod robot is a mechanical vehicle that walks on six legs. Since a robot can be statically stable on three or more legs, a hexapod robot has a great deal of flexibility in how it can move. If legs become disabled, the robot may still be able to walk. Furthermore, not all of the robot's legs are needed for stability; other legs are free to reach new foot placements or manipulate a payload. Many hexapod robots are biologically inspired by Hexapoda locomotion. Hexapods may be used to test biological theories about insect locomotion, motor control, and neurology. 2, record 83, English, - hexapod%20robot

2, record 83, French, - robot%20hexapode

Scenarios are specially constructed stories about the future. Each scenario represents a distinct, plausible world. The purpose of scenario planning is not to predict the future; but rather, to show how different forces can manipulate the future in different directions. It is very important to realize this, for this procedure helps to identify these forces if and when they happen. The utility of scenario planning lies in its ability to anticipate the future.
