Record number: 1, Textual support number: 2 OBS
AC broth is used for cultivating a wide variety of microorganisms(aerobic, anaerobic and microaerophilic) and for the sterility testing of turbid or viscous solutions and other materials not containing mercurial preservatives.... AC broth possesses growth-promoting properties for a wide variety of microorganisms.... AC medium does not exhibit the toxicity shown by media containing sodium thioglycollate.... AC broth is suitable for use in the detection of obligately aerobic contaminants in biologicals and other products. AC broth is also useful in the isolation and cultivation of many common pathogenic and saprophytic aerobes. The medium can be used to test the sterility of biologicals and solutions that do not contain mercurial preservatives.(Fluid thioglycollate medium should be employed for the sterility testing of solutions containing mercurial preservatives.) 1, record 1, English, - all%2Dculture%20broth

Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
1, record 1, French, - bouillon%20toutes%20cultures
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 2 OBS

bouillon AC : L'abréviation anglaise «AC» signifie «all culture», c'est-à-dire «toutes cultures». 1, record 1, French, - bouillon%20toutes%20cultures
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 4 OBS
1, record 1, French, - bouillon%20toutes%20cultures

Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 OBS
C. difficile is now recognized as the chief cause of nosocomial (hospital-acquired) diarrhea. ... Patients taking antibiotics are at risk of becoming infected with C. difficile as antibiotics disrupt the normal bacteria of the bowel and allow C. difficile bacteria to become established in the colon. ... Many persons infected with C. difficile bacteria have no symptoms; these people become carriers of the bacteria and can infect others. In other people, a toxin produced by C. difficile causes diarrhea, abdominal pain, severe inflammation of the colon (colitis), fever, an elevated white blood count, vomiting and dehydration. 2, record 3, English, - Clostridium%20difficile

Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 OBS
4, record 3, French, - Clostridium%20difficile
