Third generation warfare is a term created by the U. S. military in 1989, referring to the tactics of warfare used after the Wehrmacht's development of the blitzkrieg. Third generation war focuses on using speed and surprise to bypass the enemy's lines and collapse their forces from the rear. Essentially, this was the end of linear warfare on a tactical level, with units seeking not simply to meet each other face to face but to out-maneuver each other to gain the greatest advantage. 3, record 6, English, - third%20generation%20warfare

1, record 6, French, - guerre%20de%20troisi%C3%A8me%20g%C3%A9n%C3%A9ration

The prankster's water bomb has matured into a new tool for fighting fires. Instead of low-flying helicopters and small planes pouring water over hot spots, Boeing has devised a way to use its C-17 military transports to bombard blazes with beach ball-size containers loaded with water or fire retardant. One advantage of using the multifaceted, biodegradable bombs is that they could be dropped with high precision, striking the core of the fire. Some 2800 containers bursting evenly at the same moment would be more effective than showering water from above. A fully loaded C-17 could deliver 144, 000 pounds of liquid in one spot or in several locations. Conventional "firebombers" usually empty an entire load in a single run. 2, record 12, English, - water%20bomb
