Military Automated Air Traffic System Project-A national air traffic system project that will automate air traffic services has been initiated by Transport Canada. To ensure that military air operations continue to function effectively, remain compatible with the national system, and keep pace with these enhancements, the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Forces has established the Military Automated Air Traffic System(MAATS) Project. MAATS is now scheduled for completion in 2004-2005.

Major Crown Project that involves the integration, modernization and improvement of systems, facilities and equipment used in providing air traffic services to commercial, military and private aircraft operators across Canada to the year 2000. Implementation of CASP will be accomplished through a series of Major Crown Projects, including the Canadian Automated Air Traffic Service, the Systems Engineering and Integration Project, the Canadian Airspace Management Simulator Project and the Military Automated Air Traffic Systems Project.
