What is meant by the inverted pyramid, basically, is that you lay out the facts in descending order of importance. It is the standard narrative, inverted. Instead of beginning with a problem, such as a murder in a mystery story, and ending with the resolution, you tell the resolution in the beginning, then move steadily backwards to where the narrative normally would begin.... A major reason for writing news stories in the inverted pyramid form is so the bottom can be cut without eliminating some crucial detail.

Castor is a secretion found in both sexes of the beaver, and it accumulates in two pear-shaped bags on the abdomen of the animal. The sacs are about the length of a finger, and at the thickest point are about the diameter of the thumb. They contain a greasy mass of yellowish-brown, reddish or blackish viscous substance. Landscape lighting does not usually attempt to duplicate the effect of daylight. Instead, the lighting should capture the nighttime mood; trees retire into mystery; the surface of a pool becomes calm.
