ICRI is an unique environmental partnership that brings all the stakeholders together with the objective of sustainable use and conservation of coral reefs for future generations. ICRI is an informal mechanism that allows representatives of over 80 developing countries with coral reefs to sit in equal partnership with major donor countries and development banks, international environmental and development agencies, scientific associations, the private sector and NGOs to decide on the best strategies to conserve the world's coral reef resources. ICRI is not a permanent structure or organization, but an informal network that aims to catalyse the best strategies to conserve coral reefs and related coastal resources in the tropics. The Human Resources Council(HRC) was founded in 1992 as the Personnel Renewal Council(PRC), to be a strong voice for Heads of Human Resources and the HR community on issues affecting the strategic direction of HR management in the Public Service. The PRC changed its name to the Human Resources Council in November 1998. The HRC will continue to strengthen its current role as an independent strategic advisor. The Shell Middle Distillate Synthesis(SMDS) plant now operational at Bintulu, Malaysia, is the latest in a series of partnership projects between Shell companies and the people of Malaysia that stretches back for more than 100 years. The new plant uses advanced technology to convert natural gas, abundantly available from the Central Luconia field offshore Sarawak, into liquid fuels of high purity. These fuels can also be used as components to upgrade lower quality stock derived from conventional crude oil processing. In addition, the plant can produce high-value waxes, as well as feedstocks for detergents and lubricants. The product mix can be varied to meet market needs. The SMDS technology was developed at the Shell laboratory in Amsterdam(KSLA) over a period of 20 years. The Toulouse Space Centre(CST) has become a unique technical and operational centre in terms of both its size and the scope of its activities. Working in partnership with French industry, the CST develops complete space systems right through to their operational commissioning(e. g. positioning the Arabsat series), contributes to instrument design and development, participates in science projects and leads research or application programmes such as Spot, Hélios, Télécom, Argos and Sarsat-Cospas on behalf of CNES or space users. The CST is also responsible for the positioning and station-keeping of all satellites in CNES's charge. Its capabilities in the field of satellite operations are so renowned that it is used by French prime contractors to orbit satellites for operators outside France. The Toulouse Space Centre also runs a major research and technology programme.
