The Zarya control module, also known by the technical term Functional Cargo Block and the Russian acronym FGB, was the first component launched for the International Space Station and provides the station's initial propulsion and power.... The U. S.-funded and Russian-built Zarya, which means Sunrise when translated to English, is a U. S. component of the station although it was built and launched by Russia.... The Zarya module is 41. 2 feet long and 13. 5 feet wide at its widest point. It has an operational lifetime of at least 15 years. Its solar arrays and six nickel-cadmium batteries can provide an average of 3 kilowatts of electrical power. Using the Russian Kurs system, the Zarya will perform an automated and remotely piloted rendezvous and docking with the Service Module in orbit. Its docking power will accommodate Russian Soyuz piloted spacecraft and unpiloted Progress resupply spacecraft. Each of the two solar arrays is 35 feet long and 11 feet wide. The module's 16 fuel tanks combined can hold more than 6 tons of propellant. The attitude control system for the module includes 24 large steering jets and 12 small steering jets. Two large engines are available for reboosting the spacecraft and making major orbital changes.

The MCS system provides the primary tactical planning tool for the brigade. Operational bypasses. The trips that protect the reactor in one mode of normal operation may prevent changes to other operational states. For example, the trips that protect the reactor at low power will prevent the reactor from reaching full power. To permit such changes, the initiation of an unnecessary and unwanted protective action should be inhibited by means of an operational bypass(sometimes referred to as trip conditioning). Such logic conditioning of trip signals should be integrated into the protection system.

The Integrated Soldier System Project will provide the soldier with an integrated suite of equipment that includes weapon accessories, electronic devices, sensors, individual equipment and operational clothing. The United Nations Development Program(UNDP) launched the MicroStart programme in February 1997. The purpose of the programme is to build a new generation of microfinance institutions(MFIs) that have transparent track records and solid institutional and financial performance, which enable them to reach poor clients while operating on a sustainable basis. MicroStart also aims to improve the practice of microfinance within the UN system by establishing guidelines, providing technical assistance, and promoting training and learning opportunities that incorporate best practice in the field. The programme has been developed in response to demand from UNDP Country Offices for a practical and operational product to assist them in the delivery of quality programming to a well-defined niche in the evolving field of microfinance.

Le programme est né suite à la demande des bureaux régionaux du PNUD qui nécessitaient un appui pratique et opérationnel pour les aider à exécuter des programmes de qualité, ciblés sur un créneau bien défini du secteur en pleine expansion qu’est la microfinance. Depuis son lancement en 1997, MicroStart a été déployé ou est déployé dans vingt pays, et des subventions ont été octroyées à 68 institutions de microfinance (IMF).

A Unique Freeze Dryer Shelf and Condenser Chilling System. Most lyophilizers(freeze dryers) are designed with a single refrigeration system, which is required to switch from product chilling to condenser cooling in the lyophilization phase. If the shelf heating cycle should demand both cooling and heating to maintain a given temperature set point during the drying phase(as is the case with long and slow shelf temperature rises), the refrigeration system must operate in the dual role of cooling both the shelves and the condenser in order to maintain operational vacuum. If the sublimation rate from the product is high, this can often result in the refrigeration systems inability to meet both requirements. Most manufacturers attempt to compensate for these conditions by oversizing the compressor, which can lead to overloading in the terminal phase, resulting in reducing compressor life and reliability.
