The sport of yachting [now sailing] is included in the programme of the Olympic Games since 1896.... One race per day in each event is held for four days. Spare days are then scheduled to allow the organizers the opportunity to catch up on any races postponed or abandoned because of poor weather. The final three races are held one per day after the scheduled spare days. Events are held in seven classes : Finn class, 470 class, Flying Dutchman class, Star class, Soling class, Tornado class and, since 1984, Windglider class(boardsailing). 3, record 1, English, - sailing

La voile est une discipline des Jeux Olympiques depuis 1896. [...] Il se tient une régate par jour pour chaque classe pendant quatre jours. Des jours sont prévus pour reprendre des régates reportées ou annulées à cause de mauvais temps. Les trois régates finales sont à raison d'une par jour, après la reprise des régates reportées.
