Le laser à fibre thulium-ZBLAN à 480 nm a suscité beaucoup d'intérêt ces dernières années pour des applications requérant des puissances d'une dizaine à quelques centaines de milliwatts [...] Nous avons fait l'étude expérimentale et théorique d'un tel laser à fibre. Un laser Nd:YAG modifié pour émettre à 1112 nm a été utilisé comme source de pompage. Le laser à fibre était formé d'une fibre de verre fluoré ZBLAN dopée au thulium placé dans une cavité Fabry-Perot. Le laser à fibre a été caractérisé en terme de la puissance de sortie à 480 nm, du seuil laser, de l'efficacité de conversion infrarouge-bleu et de la stabilité.
