The Manifesto of the Communist Party... usually referred to as The Communist Manifesto, was first published on April 14, 1848, and is one of the world's most influential political tracts. Commissioned by the Communist League and written by communist theorists Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, it laid out the League's purposes and program. The Manifesto suggested a course of action for a proletarian(working class) revolution to overthrow the bourgeoisie(ruling upper class) and to eventually bring about a classless society. 2, record 4, English, - Manifesto%20of%20the%20Communist%20Party

Formed in the 1960s, the Mujahedin-e-Khalq(MEK) is an Iranian terrorist organization based mostly in Iraq, where it received financial support from Saddam Hussein's regime. MEK's principal objective is the overthrow of the existing Iranian regime to replace it with a democratic and secular government. MEK plans to install the National Council of Resistance of Iran(NCRI), a political coalition of Iranian opposition groups affiliated with MEK, as interim administration and leader Maryam Rajavi as president. To achieve their objectives, MEK's past activities have included assassinations, armed attacks, hostage-taking, mortar attacks and hit-and-run raids against government and military personnel and infrastructure. 3, record 7, English, - Mujahedin%2De%2DKhalq%20Organization

8, record 7, French, - Mujahedin%2De%2DKhalq%20Organization

This study emphasises the fact that the activity of political parties is guaranteed by the freedom of association. In particular, it points out that the prohibition or enforced dissolution of political parties is justifiable only in cases where parties advocate the use of violence or use it as a political means to overthrow the democratic constitutional order, thereby undermining the rights and freedoms protected by the Constitution. 1, record 8, English, - enforced%20dissolution%20of%20political%20parties

1, record 8, French, - dissolution%20forc%C3%A9e%20de%20partis%20politiques

The Glorious Revolution was the overthrow of James II of England in 1688 by a union of Parliamentarians and the Dutch stadholder William III of Orange-Nassau(William of Orange). It is sometimes called the Bloodless Revolution, although there was fighting and loss of life in Ireland and Scotland; many modern historians prefer the more neutral alternative Revolution of 1688. The Revolution is closely tied in with the events of the Nine Years War on the continent of Europe, and may be seen as the last successful invasion of England. It can be argued that James’ overthrow began modern English parliamentary democracy; never again would the monarch hold absolute power. The deposition of the Catholic James II finally and firmly established Protestantism in England. 1, record 16, English, - Glorious%20Revolution

1, record 16, French, - Glorieuse%20R%C3%A9volution

The Panhellenic Socialist Movement(PASOK) is the descendant of the Panhellenic Resistance Movement(PAK), which worked for the overthrow of the colonels’ dictatorship(1967-74). It was basically a political movement but did not eschew violence. During the course of the 1980s and 1990s PASOK evolved from a radical, class-based socialist movement into a mainstream European social-democratic party. Under its current leader and prime minister, Costas Simitis, it has fully embraced deeper integration with the EU. 1, record 25, English, - Panhellenic%20Socialist%20Movement

recognition of insurgency.... states may decide to recognise the rebels as "insurgents". This applies as much where the rebels’ object is to establish a new state as where they aim at the overthrow and replacement of the government of an existing state. Such recognition has the sole effect of absolving the recognising state from treating the rebels as law-breakers : the legitimate government is still owed all the rights(and still owes all the duties) that the government of a state habitually exercises over its territory and population. 1, record 27, English, - recognition%20of%20insurgency

1, record 27, French, - reconnaissance%20d%27insurrection
