Photocathode sensitivity describes the conversion efficiency for photons into photoelectrons; the relationship between photocathode sensitivity and wavelength is called spectral response. The terms quantum efficiency, radiant sensitivity, and luminous sensitivity are used to specify photocathode response. 1, record 1, English, - photocathode%20sensitivity

Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 OBS
It consists of a photocathode, a series of dynodes, called a dynode chain on which a secondary-electron multiplication process occurs, and an anode. According to the desired response time, transit time, time spread, gain, or low dark current, different types of dynode structures have been developed, e. g. circular cage structure, box and grid structure. Some special dynode structures permit combination with additional electric or magnetic fields. 3, record 2, English, - photomultiplier%20tube

With these materials, Litton devised its High Performance multichannel plate and by 1992, the company had built hundreds of wafer tubes with the plate, which on test, showed a degradation in luminence gain of less than nine per cent after 10000 operating hours, and 95 per cent of the infrared initial photocathode response. 1, record 4, English, - degradation%20in%20luminence%20gain
