Oxyfuel combustion. An alternative is to burn the fossil fuel in pure or enriched oxygen. In such a fashion the flue gas will contain mostly CO2 and H2O. A part of the flue gas needs to be recycled into the combustion chamber in order to control the flame temperature. From the non-recycled flue gas, water vapor can be readily condensed, and the CO2 can be compressed and piped directly to the storage site. 3, record 5, English, - oxyfuel%20combustion

Technology Canada partnerships investment promotes sustainable development in deep oil sands extraction.... The project involves developing a water recycling technology that will remove environmental and economic barriers to heavy oil production using the steam-assisted gravity drainage(SAGD) system. With SAGD, steam injected into the formation from a horizontal well decreases the viscosity of the heavy oil and allows it to flow to a second parallel well where it is piped to the surface. This process uses the equivalent of three barrels of steam to produce one barrel of heavy oil. 5, record 8, English, - steam%2Dassisted%20gravity%20drainage

4, record 8, French, - drainage%20par%20gravit%C3%A9%20au%20moyen%20de%20vapeur

When superheated steam expands in a turbine it drops in pressure, loses its superheat, and becomes wet... Consequently, this steam is led out of the turbine after it has passed through the early high-pressure stages. It is then piped back to a reheater, a device similar in design and placement to a superheater, where it is reheated to approximately the original superheat temperature. From the reheater, the steam enters the turbine at a succeeding stage and passes through the remainder of the turbine. It exhausts at low pressure and is condensed into water for recirculation to the boiler. 1, record 9, English, - reheater

So what is the difference between a non-condensing and condensing engine? A "condensing" steam engine does not exhaust its piped steam. Instead the spent steam is piped into a devise whcih, like a car radiator, cools the steam turning it back in to liquid water(cooling and condensing the steam). That still very hot wtaer is pumped back into the boilers where it is reheated and reused. Since the returning water is still very hot it requires less heat to bring it back up to boiling temperature. A big savings in fuel and boiling water is free of mud and dirt like normal river water. 4, record 12, English, - condensing%20steam%20engine

In order to more readily understand a steam booster we should cover the basic construction of an average steam booster which would be as follows : A series of copper tubings or coils are fastened together so that a 120° water can be supplied at one end and(if all other requirements are met) 180° water will pass through the other end. This series of coils is placed inside a heavy metal container, the container also has an inlet and an outlet, into which we pass live steam at the required pressures. The steam circulates around the coils and losing its heat by transferring its high temperature to the lower temperature water, soon condensation accumulates at the bottom of the container. The condensation then passes through the discharge opening into either a waste line or what is known as a return line which is piped directly to the boiler where it is again heated into steam for recycling through the very same booster. 1, record 16, English, - steam%20booster

1, record 16, French, - r%C3%A9chauffeur%20%C3%A0%20vapeur
