The point of beginning is not more controlling than other designated points of a grant and should be selected primarily because of its certainty of identity and facility of location.... Unfortunately, there is a decided tendency in the description of city lots to rely entirely upon the point of beginning for location, and the remaining calls merely give the length and possibly, but not always, the direction of the courses. This practice makes the point of beginning of particular importance, and it is not uncommon to find that a survey is impossible because of the uncertainty of the beginning point.(Skelton, p. 46) 1, record 10, English, - beginning%20point

Ski jump. A skier changes positions several times during a jump. The jumper enters a crouched(or tuck) position down an inrun, springs outward and upward upon takeoff, leans forward throughout flight to maintain lift, bends the hips and knees and places one foot in front of the other into a telemark position for landing, and then straightens up and slows down throughout the outrun. The range of possible landing positions is marked by three points(norm, table, and K, or critical) on the landing hill. The norm point and the table point indicate the beginning and ending, respectively, of the normal landing area, while the K-point marks the last safe landing spot on that hill. 3, record 17, English, - table%20point

BREAK OVER. This occurs during that part of the stride when the limb is beginning to move forward and the anterior portion of the hoof leaves the ground. Break over point is that place on the ground surface of the dorsal wall and sole around which the limb rotates as the hoof leaves the ground. An unbalanced hoof, either because of incorrect trimming/shoeing, or hoof or limb pathologies, will not have the correct break over which leads to a host of problems, both actual and potential. It is also important to note that proper heel support is a major player in this equation. 2, record 19, English, - breakover

The primer is most effective when firing independent charges if it is loaded with the detonator pointing toward the major portion of the explosives column. Basically, charts are drawn according to the system of rectangular co-ordinates. Rectangular co-ordinates are based on two straight reference lines perpendicular to each other in a plane(...) The horizontal line is usually referred to as the X-axis, or the abscissa, whereas the vertical line is referred to as the Y-axis, or the ordinate. The two lines divide the plane into four parts called quadrants(...) The point of intersection of the two lines is called the origin, or zero point. Scales are labeled along the two axes, beginning at the point of origin. The abscissas(...) to the right of the origin are conventionally designated as positive, whereas those to the left of the origin are negative. The ordinates(...) above the origin are positive, and those below the origin are negative. Any point on the plane may refer to two values according to the two scales. 1, record 39, English, - system%20of%20rectangular%20co%2Dordinates
