Le duffle (de Duffel: ville de Flandres) est un tissu anglais épais, riche et moelleux qui a connu une grande vogue chez les Inuits d'abord, puis chez les Indiens. Il a été populaire sous le nom de "couverture de la Baie d'Hudson", car c'est cette compagnie qui l'a introduit au Québec en vendant des couvertures en duffle dans ses postes de traite et ses magasins.
