It's very important to note that NVCC features will only be triggered by the regulator at a time of extreme distress(i. e., looming default, no access to capital) such that a firm is no longer viable. 3, record 2, English, - non%2Dviability%20contingent%20capital

Record number: 5, Textual support number: 1 CONT
The jet stream is a fragmented global wind flow that encircles the mid-latitudes in a wavelike pattern. Embedded within this global wind belt are jet streaks. A jet streak is a segment of the jet stream that has relatively high velocity winds. ... Jet streaks are caused by a large low-level temperature gradient, thus they are more intense in the cool season when the differential in temperature between the polar regions and tropical regions is largest. Jet streaks are analyzed near the 300-mb level. 4, record 5, English, - jet%20streak
Record number: 5, Textual support number: 2 CONT
Some authors consider "jet stream core" and "core of the jet stream" synonyms with "jet streak." In fact, a "jet stream core" is "a line, within the jet stream, along which the wind speeds are maximum both in the vertical and horizontal." The "jet streak" is a "segment within the jet stream core where the wind reaches its greatest speed." There could be more than one "jet streak" within a "jet stream core." The French equivalent of "jet stream core" is "coeur du courant-jet." 7, record 5, English, - jet%20streak

[The] step-index multimode fiber has a large core, up to 100 microns in diameter. As a result, some of the light rays that make up the digital pulse may travel a direct route whereas others zigzag as they bounce off the cladding. These alternative pathways cause the different groupings of light rays, referred to as modes, to arrive separately at a receiving point. The pulse, an aggregate of different modes, begins to spread out, losing its well-defined shape. The need to leave spacing between pulses to prevent overlapping limits bandwidth-that is, the amount of information that can be sent. Consequently, this type of fiber is best suited for transmission over short distances, in an endoscope, for instance. 2, record 6, English, - step%2Dindex%20multimode%20fiber

The Spanish term "cordaje" and the French cognate "cordage" are both collective nouns that denote the set of strings that make up the "stringbed". Another appropriate English equivalent would be "racquet strings"-in the plural. In comparison, the singular term "cuerda" denotes the thin material we call "string" in English. When used in the plural, "cuerdas" and "cordes" are synonomous with "cordaje" and "cordage" respectively. Another point to watch out for : the Spanish term "cordaje" is polysemous. It can denote the process of putting strings on a tennis racquet(=stringing) or it can denote the end product, i. e. the set of strings found on a tennis racquet. Various types of strings used today : multilfilament, multicore(with or without wraps), solid core, textured, unique, construction, hybrid. 3, record 11, English, - strings

While the SFCS has a number of features and capabilities designed to vastly improve target identification and hand-off among a number of operators, its core is a muzzle velocity sensor. The system sits on the Picatinny rail of any weapon and draws on a number of acoustic sensors to characterize how the weapon is performing between the time the primer of a round is struck and the bullet leaves the barrel.... Meteorological and other sensor inputs are fed into a ballistics computation that then gives a range azimuth correction to the operator. It helps the operator correct his aim point so that his probability of hit for second, third and fourth rounds is that much more accurate. 1, record 12, English, - soldier%20fire%20control%20system

Similar arguments can be made concerning the shape of a reactor. It can be shown that for a given volume of fuel and moderator a sphere always has the smallest leakage. A sphere is not a practical shape from an engineering point of view. Instead, we use a cylindrical reactor core that has the diameter slightly bigger than the length. The actual shape is a compromise between engineering and nuclear considerations. 1, record 18, English, - cylindrical%20reactor%20core

1, record 18, French, - coeur%20de%20r%C3%A9acteur%20cylindrique

What distinguish city from village are mainly two facts. The first of these is the presence of an organized social core, around which the whole structure of the community coheres. If this nucleation may begin in the village stage, as remains of temples seem to indicate, there is a general shift of household occupations and rituals into specialized collective institutions, part of the intensified social division of labor brought in with civilization itself. But, from the standpoint of the city's relation to the earth, the important point to notice is that, in this social core or nucleus, the sharpest departures from the daily habits and the physical structure of the village take place. 2, record 28, English, - social%20core

The bonding methods include :(1) homofil bonding, in which all filaments are composed of a single polymer type, but some of the filaments have different melting characteristics. Bonding is achieved by a high-temperature calendering operation, accomplished by passing fabric between two hot rollers; and(2) heterofil bonding, in which some of the filaments comprise two types of polymers having different melting points(heterofilaments), while others have only one polymer(homofilaments). The heterofilaments have different softening characteristics from the homofilaments, and strong flexible bonds can therefore be formed at the heterofilament crossover points by controlled application of heat and pressure to fuse only the lower melting point polymer forming the sheat, while leaving the core and homofilaments unaffected. 1, record 35, English, - homofilament
