The NCOEs provide functional direction to Regional COEs in support of Real Property Services nationally. The NCSUs provide a focal point for national clients and furnish functional guidance to Regional CSUs. "

Precession affects propellers, which act like gyros, and gyro instruments. Its principle effect is on the heading indicator, which tends to drift over time.

A gyroscope will not only resist being moved out of its vertical position, it will also generate force as it attempts to travel in large, circular patterns. These patterns are most easily seen with a spinning top. As the top begins losing its energy, it never simply spirals straight down in the same direction that it was originally spinning. As it destabilizes, it will always begin slowly rotating or precessing in a slow, even circle that is in the opposite direction to its normal spinning motion. En este caso contamos con una imagen principal (Master), es decir, la parte escaneada de un mapa, y una imagen secundaria (Slave). Para empezar, leemos las coordenadas (números de fila y columna) de algunos puntos destacados de la imagen principal y las buscamos en la imagen secundaria. A continuación pedimos al programa que ejecute la transformación del contenido de la imagen completa. Después de este proceso se pueden superponer las dos imágenes.

The turn and slip indicator is a combination of two instruments; the turn needle and the ball. The needle is gyro operated to show rate of turn. The ball reacts to centrifugal force to indicate the quality of a turn.

The turn and slip indicator consists of two instruments combined. The turn indicator, above, consists of an electrically driven gyroscope connected to a pointer. It indicates rate, by magnitude of deflection, and direction, by direction of deflection of the pointer, of the turn. The slip indicator consists of a small ball in a curved tube. If the glider is not correctly aligned in the turn then the ball will roll out from the center point.

Prior to entering the traffic pattern at an airport without an operating control tower, aircraft should avoid the flow of traffic until established on the entry leg. For example, wind and landing direction indicators can be checked while at an altitude above the traffic pattern. When the proper traffic pattern direction has been determined, the pilot should then proceed to a point well clear of the pattern before descending to the pattern altitude.
