This report provides preliminary biological and geomorphological classification schemes for Placentia Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador. In addition, this study examines the degree to which the geomorphological regimes of the Bay affects the development of the biological communities. The region of the province studied encompasses the area from Point crewe(western tip of the Burin Peninsula) to Point Lance(Avalon Peninsula).
