Record number: 5, Textual support number: 1 DEF
Any stroke that for some reason is replayed without penalty. In an average game, only two types of let are encountered : 1) when called solely in respect of a service that one service only shall be replayed; 2) when called under any other circumstance, the point shall be replayed. For instance, a serve that nicks the top of the net, then bounces in the proper service court is to be replayed. By extension, also a call made by the umpire or by one of the players to indicate that a point should be replayed because of a stray ball rolling across the court. Sometimes the term "let" is mistakenly referred to as a "net serve". A "let" is also played if, for instance, the receiver of a service is not ready to start; if one player involuntarily hinders his opponent; or if a player is hindered in playing by an external agency. 2, record 5, English, - let
Record number: 5, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Service lets. If, during t he serving process a let is called because the ball served touched the top of the net and fell in the service area, that serve, and that serve only is taken over again. 3, record 5, English, - let
Record number: 5, Textual support number: 1 OBS
Caution: If the ball touches the net on a service, the net judge will call "net", or sometimes "filet"(French Open). The umpire, however, will call "let", since "let" is the official call he must make. This distinction is not always upheld in social play, where informally one hears the following expressions: "two", "take two", or "play two", i.e. take two serves since the first one touched the net (and landed in), "play one", "take one", "second serve", i.e. first serve touched the net and landed out. Moreover, for precision, the term "let" is sometimes qualified: service let. 2, record 5, English, - let

In such a system the traditional way of keeping score, i. e. 15-30-40 may be replaced with 1-2-3, or the traditional way may be retained until the score reaches 3-3(=40-all or "deuce"), in which case the next point is to be the game point for both sides, with the receiver to elect which side(s) he will return the serve. Jacques Plante, a goaler for the hockey team "Le Canadien de Montréal", is the first hockey player to have worn a mask in the 1960's. The practice became popular to the point that now every goaler wears a complete "mask" while many offensive players wear a "face shield, guard or protector" attached to their helmet, hence the difficulty distinguishing among the different terms. The idea is now accepted by players in many sports : ice, field or roller hockey, short-track speed skating, ringette, etc. The protection worn by the receiver in baseball stands in the same category. 8, record 11, English, - face%20mask

Ripple control generally refers to systems that are applied to electrical networks for demand side management purposes. They offer a means of communication from a central point to any point on the LV [Low-Voltage] network for action at end-users’ premises. Ripple control is mainly dedicated to mass applications but individual and specific applications can also be addressed. Applications are easily programmed by the operator in control consoles and receivers(Stand-alone receivers beside the meter or receiver integrated into electronic meters). 3, record 16, English, - ripple%20control

Ripple control is a well proven technology since many decades to control consumers in the whole grid for load optimization. This will be done switching on/off e.g. storage heatings, direct controlled heatings, etc. as well as tariff switching, monthly demand reset in electricity meters, and the control of other consumers like street lighting, etc. The components of a ripple control (RC) system are the load control centre, installed in the utility control level, which controls all connected substations. There are installed the RC transmitters with the couplings, which inject the RC signals into the grids, and in the grids there are RC receivers at the consumers site, which execute the transmitted commands. 2, record 16, English, - ripple%20control
