Cervical epithelial tumors are distinguished according to the tissue of origin, either as adenocarcinomas(tumors originating in the endocervical glandular epithelium) or squamous carcinomas(tumors originating in the ectocervical squamous epithelium). Generally, such tumors develop from precancerous lesions that are also classified according to origin and degree of cell transformation, as squamous or glandular lesions of low and high grade... From a histological point of view, precancerous lesions are characterized by abnormal cell proliferation, increased mitotic count, and a loss of alignment and uniformity of individual cells within the normal architecture of epithelial tissue. They may spontaneously regress, or may persist for a long time without evolving into invasive forms, and are therefore amenable to conservative treatment... 4, record 1, English, - precancerous%20lesion

Permeability of cells, its nature and measurement from the point of view of mathematical biophysics.... In spite of the tremendous importance of cell permeability for several branches of cell biology, and in spite of the circumstance that numerous experiments have in the past decades contributed a very large array of facts to our knowledge in this field, a mathematical biophysicist still feels rather uncomfortable when confronted with the different contributions to the problem. Perhaps the most shocking thing in the whole situation is the following. In spite of a large amount of observation and of more or less quantitative measurements, we hardly can find anywhere in the literature an accepted standard unit for the quantity which is referred to as permeability. 1, record 9, English, - mathematical%20biophysicist

Once again, the environmental groups appearing before the Committee were opposed to the two recommendations, claiming that they were in fact not necessary. The joint CELA/CIELAP submission to the Committee argued that the criticism that MMLERs are not "scientifically based" was simply out of place and did not reflect the nature of how the regulations were developed and administered. The regulations remain technically defensible since they are based on what is technologically feasible, and not what is required from an ecological point of view. In actual fact, the problem is not the existence of poor science, but rather that the MMLERs are not tough enough to protect local ecosystems.(19) The joint brief went on to note that as a general principle, the natural background levels of metals in waters and sediments are not germane to the notion of technology-based standards. 2, record 29, English, - technology%2Dbased%20standard

1, record 29, French, - norme%20fond%C3%A9e%20sur%20la%20technologie

A land mortgage is a type of mortgage loan which is used to purchase land or a lot, in contrast with a structure which has been built on a piece of land. Buyers of raw land usually purchase land with the intent of developing it or establishing a structure. Land mortgages are different from mortgages for structures because, from the point of view of a bank, land is a less secure investment. If someone defaults on a land mortgage, the bank will be left with an empty lot which could be difficult to resell. 3, record 36, English, - land%20mortgage

... blue moon... For half a century, it's been known as the second full moon in a month... But that's wrong... The magazine [Sky & Telescope] incorrectly defined the term 53 years ago. James Hugh Pruett wrote a 1946 piece for the magazine after apparently misinterpreting a complex 1937 article in the Maine Farmer's Almanac that essentially, but not clearly, said a blue moon occurs when a season has four full moons, rather than the usual three. Pruett mistakenly thought it meant having a second full moon within the same month. Pruett's mistake went unnoticed for decades.... Although Sky & Telescope's editors think Pruett's mistake led to the popular modern mis-definition of "blue moon, "it's unclear where the Maine Farmer's Almanac came up with the rule. The almanac is defunct. Pruett died in 1955.... By either definition--Pruett's or the almanac' s--blue moons occur about every two or three years... Although purists may subscribe to the almanac' s point of view, Sinnott thinks Pruett's error will prevail. 5, record 38, English, - blue%20moon

When a month has two full moons the second is known as a "blue" moon, though it only rarely has a blue tint that unusual atmospheric conditions can supply. Why commit aggravated homicide(murder) ?... If we analyze this from the regulatory point of view of the Federal Penal Code, we would be facing the assumption of a person who, after having thought about it, kills another person [who] has no chance to engage in self-defense, using for that end, harmful substances or torture. This would be created as murder, characterized by premeditation, and unfair advantage(Articles 315 and 316 of the Federal Penal Code). In his book "What a Great Idea", Charles Thompson suggested that the only way to truly understand this world is to learn from positives as well as from negatives. Ying-Yang, Summer-Winter, Day-Night are just some examples of that. Problem reversal method is based on stating the problem in reverse. Change a positive statement into a negative one. Next, try to define what something is not, change the direction or location of your perspective. This will give you the opportunity to look at your problem from radically different point of view, which might lead to completely new and unexpected practical solutions. 2, record 64, English, - problem%20reversal%20technique

Therefore, the use of the death penalty is precisely created as aggravated homicide as set forth in the Federal Penal Code, which would be called murder in other countries. 2, record 65, English, - advantage

The term "domestic jurisdiction", as used in the theory and practice of international law, mainly since the Covenant of the League of Nations, is not a new legal concept from the point of view of its content. Indeed, it does not mean anything else or anything more than the term sovereignty in the sense of the supreme power of the State over its territory and inhabitants in the framework of international law binding upon the State. What some authors used to call "internal sovereignty" corresponds to domestic jurisdiction. This term does not mean exactly the same thing as the French expression "compétence exclusive de l'État, "although it is translated in this way in the Covenant. 3, record 72, English, - domestic%20jurisdiction

Normally, only assets which are legally owned by a company are recorded as fixed assets in their financial statements. Certain leases, however, are considered to be merely another means of financing the acquisition of an asset. In these cases, the lessee carries substantially all of the risks and benefits associated with property ownership. In those situations, the accounting profession has concluded that it is more appropriate to reflect the substance, rather than the form, of these transactions in financial statements. Consequently, leases of this type (referred to as capital leases) are recorded as if the lessee had actually acquired the asset and assumed a liability. The asset is recorded at its fair market value, and the liability is recorded as the present value of future lease payments. 3, record 76, English, - capital%20lease

Currently, pharmaceutical care is understood as the pharmacists’ compromise to obtain the maximum benefit from the pharmacological treatments of the patients, being therefore responsible of monitoring their pharmacotherapy. As the profession has moved from a product orientation(dispensing medications) to a patient focus, clinical training requirements have expanded. This is a slow but ongoing process, which started from a philosophical point of view, in order to transform the concept of Pharmacy from commodity-based, mercantile operations into a clinical profession in the community pharmacies. 1, record 90, English, - pharmaceutical%20care

The term Attract & Kill(or Lure and Kill) is normally used for pheromone(or other attractant) based control methods that use an insecticide to kill the target pest. Mass Trapping, as the name implies, depends on the use of a mechanical device(insect trap) to remove the insect from the population. From a theoretical point of view, the approaches are very similar. Both methods rely on attracting the pest to a pheromone(or other attractant) source and removing the insect from the breeding population. 2, record 100, English, - mass%20trapping
