A floating platform consisting of an array of vertical concrete cylinders, six meters(20 feet) in diameter and 36 meters tall, that is open at the bottom and sealed at the top. Air trapped in the cylinders provides enough buoyancy for the platform to float. Interconnections between cylinders allow the air to move between them. And a few turbines can be added to exploit the movement of the air and generate electricity. It requires less maintenance, and is cheaper to build than a steel pontoon. 1, record 15, English, - concrete%20floating%20platform

The solution selected involves a prefabricated mattress assembled in a plant, wound on to a floating cylinder and transported to the site where it is laid on the sea-bed with the help of a special pontoon.... The filter mattress used for the foundation of the piers consists of three layers of granular material, sand, fine gravel and gravel, packed in a system of geotextiles. The mattresses are 42 X 200 m. To limit the weight and yet to maintain the three layers, it was decided to use a total thickness of 0. 36 m, which results in a mattress weight of 5000 tonnes. 1, record 37, English, - filter%20mattress

tapis parafouilles (...) 1, record 37, French, - tapis%20parafouille
