Lasers used for weapons guidance will aim at very specific areas of the ship possibly located several meters or tens of meters away from the LWR [laser warning receiver] location. LWRs specifically designed for this application will work outside the main beam where detection is due either to off-axis aerosol scattering or port scattering(due to output optics). Laser radiation is scattered from aerosols(dust particles and water droplets) along the entire beam path, creating a spatially distributed radiation source, which creates an angular distribution of the irradiance at the LWR. 1, record 6, English, - aerosol%20scattering

The rudder actuator is a tandem actuator, having two internal piston areas for each hydraulic source(A & B). The actuator is capable of positioning the rudder panel with either one or both main hydraulic sources available, though with one source inoperative a reduced rudder panel deflection would result due to blowdown at higher airspeeds. Flow of hydraulic fluid to the rudder actuator is controlled by the dual servo-valve. This is a complex dual concentric cylinder with an outer and inner slide. During normal rudder pedal inputs sufficient rudder panel deflection is catered for by the primary(inner) valve alone. However, should a larger panel deflection be required or a higher rate rudder input be commanded, the secondary(outer) sleeve moves in addition to port extra fluid to the actuator. Movement of the outer sleeve is typically no more than 1 mm. Position of both sleeves of the servo valve is controlled by a complex mechanism of bell cranks, input rod and summing lever, the geometry of which is such as to provide movement of the sleeves in relation to the body of the valve. 2, record 7, English, - rudder%20actuator

1, record 11, French, - Lieu%20historique%20national%20de%20la%20Grosse%2D%C3%8Ele%2Det%2Dle%2DM%C3%A9morial%2Ddes%2DIrlandais

The data set consisted of average daily traffic (a count of the number of vehicles passing a particular point) and design-hour-traffic-to-capacity ratio (a measure of congestion) for each of twenty years for each of the expanded segments and their matched pairs. Three different statistical approaches used to test for a difference in ADT and DTC between expanded and unexpanded segments consistently showed no statistically significant difference and thus "no evidence of induced demand". 2, record 12, English, - daily%20traffic

As for investments in course, we are presently building the VILPL(internal connection route to the port of Leixoes), which will allow to achieve the following aims :... Increasing the average traffic speed near the port of Leixoes, not only port traffic speed but also of the users of the ICI highway, usually clotted due to an average daily traffic of 80, 000 vehicles;... 3, record 12, English, - daily%20traffic

The most common use of three-port circulators is as duplexers. Connecting a transmitter to Port 1, antenna to Port 2 and a receiver to Port 3 permits simultaneous transmission and reception of signals while protecting the transmitter from reflection due to antenna mismatch. 2, record 13, English, - three%20port%20circulator
