PROPAGATION FACTOR [5 records]

Record 1 2010-03-12

English

Subject field(s)
  • Radio Waves
CONT

Since the ionosphere lying over the great circle determines the mode of propagation, a method for determining the MUF over that path suggests itself : we must first determine the critical frequency at the midpoint of the path at a particular layer height. Knowing the path length will enable us to determine what the MUF factor will be.

Relación entre la frecuencia máxima utilizable y la frecuencia crítica en el punto medio del salto.

Record 2 2006-05-24

English

Subject field(s)
  • Climatology
CONT

There may be a link between recent climatic trends and wheat yield increases from the 1950s ... Nicholls (1997) attributes part of this increase in yield to a decrease in frost frequency associated with an increasing trend in minimum temperature in eastern Australia.

CONT

The greater geologic climatic trend for southwest Oregon appears to be heading toward hotter and dryer conditions(interspersed with short run wet cycles). These patterns supersede any possible effects of commerce induced global warming influences. If these trends are valid, natural climatic conditions may become an overwhelming limiting factor affecting future salmonid propagation in southwest Oregon.

Domaine(s)
  • Climatologie
DEF

Experimental ultrasonic wave propagation in sedimentary rocks : Signal processing related to the failure process... In a diagram with stress deviator versus confining pressure, the existence of correlations is revealed between strain and damage fields and the evolution of ultrasonic parameters, especially velocity and quality factor.
