Precision nutrition(PN) is an approach to developing comprehensive and dynamic nutritional recommendations based on individual variables, including genetics, microbiome, metabolic profile, health status, physical activity, dietary pattern, food environment as well as socioeconomic and psychosocial characteristics. PN can help answer the question "What should I eat to be healthy?", recognizing that what is healthful for one individual may not be the same for another, and understanding that health and responses to diet change over time. 4, record 1, English, - precision%20nutrition

Analytical studies are applied to study the etiology of disease, to identify a causal relationship between exposures and health outcomes. They are typically used when insights of a particular health issue are available, commonly from previous descriptive studies. In evaluating the causality of disease associations, analytical studies address the question of "why" as opposed to the "person/place/time" of descriptive studies. 3, record 2, English, - analytical%20study

The criterion for remission of estreated bail is that of undue hardship. The judge, at the time he determines whether the estreatment should be mitigated, takes into consideration the hardship which is likely to result. Therefore, the question of financial hardship must be assessed on the basis of its effect at the time the application for remission is made, rather than as of the date the bail was estreated. When a taxi driver of an unoccupied taxi is seeking passengers on a road unknown to him or her in a large city, what should the driver do? Alternatives include cruising around the road or waiting for a time period at the roadside in the hopes of finding a passenger or just leaving for another road enroute to a destination he [or she] knows(e. g., hotel taxi rank) ?... There could be different answers to the question poised above, but one fundamental problem is how the driver learns about the likelihood of finding passengers on a road that is new to him [or her. ] 7, record 4, English, - unoccupied%20taxi

Recently developed techniques of organic synthesis and polymer chemistry [now permit] to synthesize catalysts having enzyme-like activities... sometimes called "synzymes"... It seems most likely... that enzyme mimics(analogues) will need a large complex structure,... as well as any portions of degraded or part-synthesized enzymes which one might hope would retain(or exhibit) particular catalytic ability. The hope derives from the finding that some complex enzymes display more than one catalytic ability, and have different domains with characteristic active sites with specificity for particular substrates and conversions.... Consideration of the development of "synzymes" leads immediately to the question of feasibility at reasonable cost in a reasonable time period. One obvious question is how faithfully must the structure of the enzyme active center be duplicated? 2, record 9, English, - synzyme
Record number: 9, Textual support number: 1 OBS
There is growing interest in synthetic catalysts that mimic enzymes. Bioorganic chemists study enzyme models with the hope that results of their investigations will aid in the understanding of enzyme mechanism. With the development of industrial catalysis to the point where improvement in selectivity is a central theme in research, many believe that abiotic catalysts constructed with enzymes in mind could be of value in the chemical process industry. 3, record 9, English, - synzyme

1, record 9, French, - enzyme%20artificielle
Record number: 9, Textual support number: 1 CONT
1, record 9, French, - enzyme%20artificielle
Record number: 9, Textual support number: 1 OBS
1, record 9, French, - enzyme%20artificielle

When a mortgage is viewed as a lien--that is, a claim against or right in property--the question of priority of claim may arise, for if the borrower requires additional funds the same property may be mortgaged not once but two or more times. A first mortgage has prior claim, though not necessarily in time; a second mortgage has second claim, after the first mortgage.... The phenomenon exhibited by a measuring instrument which gives different indications in a series of measurements of the same value of the quantity measured. 1, record 17, English, - dispersion%20of%20indications

1. The "dispersion of indications" can be expressed quantitatively by the standard deviation or by the range of dispersion(spread) of the indications. 2. The concept envisaged is equally applicable to measuring instruments and to graduated material measures. It is to be noted that insofar as material measures, which only reproduce a single value(or several separate values) of a quantity, are concerned, it is not theoretically correct to speak of dispersion of their "indications", given that these represent fixed values. In this case, however, it is the dispersion of the value reproduced of the quantity which is of interest, a dispersion that can be found by means of comparisons with a standard. 3. It is necessary to indicate the conditions under which the series of measurements in question is carried out : if these measurements are to follow directly one after the other; if between each of them there must be a certain time interval; if they must be carried out by the same observer or by different observers, etc... 1, record 17, English, - dispersion%20of%20indications

Requisitions on title... may be further subdivided into requisitions going to the root of the title and other requisitions on title... The relevance of the distinction lies in the application of the clause limiting the time within which requisitions may be made. Where the requisition does not go to the root of title this provision tends to be applied strictly. Where, on the other hand, the requisition does go to the root of title, the requisition may be made after the time stipulated by the contract and the provisions of the contract will not result in the purchaser being deemed to have accepted the defect in question.(Law Society of Upper Canada, Bar Admission Course, Real Estate Law, 1990-1991, p. 8-2). 1, record 20, English, - requisition%20going%20to%20the%20root%20of%20title

Literally, a crop in the process of growth, an unmatured crop. But a disputed term in legal parlance. Some authorities hold that a growing crop may be either above or below the surface of the soil, while other authorities hold that a crop is not a growing crop unless it shows above ground, and that underground sprouts do not constitute such a crop. Again, some authorities hold that a crop is growing from the time the seed is planted until the harvest, while other authorities hold that a matured, ungathered crop is not growing. Whether grass in a pasture is a growing crop is also a controverted question.(Ballentine's, 3rd ed., 1969, p. 538) 1, record 24, English, - growing%20crop

The practice of a state is shown by its acts and attitudes in its international relations with other states. When it becomes clear that each state acts in the same way, or takes up the same attitude to the acts or omissions of other states, the practice is uniform. When there is a repetition of such uniform practice over a period of time, the practice is constant. State practice which is both uniform and constant creates a "usage". Custom requires a "general practice". No precise answer can be given to the question of how general the practice needs to be. So long as a group of states follow the practice, and accept it as law, there is a custom. All customs have begun in the same way, and become of increasingly universal application as more states align their practice to them. 2, record 36, English, - practice

"Here, the student is given clues about the identity of a president of the United States and must guess who it is. The clues come in two forms. First, a detailed computer picture of the president in question slowly appears on the screen. Second, as this happens, clues as to his identity are flashed at the bottom of the screen. material injury : The elements of the cause of action for negligence may... be itemized as follows :... 3. Material injury resulting to the interest of the plaintiff... damage is the gist of the liability. Merely exposing someone to danger is not an actionable wrong, if the hazard is averted in time. It is a much disputed question in the teaching of legal authorities and in the jurisprudence of the principal countries whether the doctrine of litispendance, the object of which is to prevent the possibility of conflicting judgments, can be invoked in international relations, in the sense that the judges of one State should, in the absence of a treaty, refuse to entertain any suit already pending before the courts of another State, exactly as they would be found to do if an action on the same subject had at some previous time been brought in due form before another court of their own country. 1, record 47, English, - litispendance

1, record 47, French, - litispendance

Wegmann defines "superposed tectonics"(...) which is the interplay between two kinds of structures attributable to different epochs in the same region. "Superposed structures are only exceptionally of the same style. In most cases they are distinguished by their geometric character and by the nature of transformations"(...) It is thus a question of superposition in time. It is also, very often, a superposition in space for the upper levels are deformed at the same time as the underlying basement already tectonized. The second tectonics affects the upper strata; in the deeper levels it is "superposed" in time on a first tectonics. 1, record 50, English, - superposed%20tectonics

1, record 50, French, - tectonique%20superpos%C3%A9e
