Amalgamated June 25, 1975 with part of Alberta Manpower and Labour to form Alberta Advanced Education and Manpower. Name reverted November 13, 1982 to Alberta Advanced Education when Alberta Advanced Education and Manpower split to form Alberta Advanced Education and Alberta Manpower. Amalgamated January 1993 with Alberta Career Development and Employment to form Alberta Advanced Education and Career Development.
