The VSI [Voluntary Sector Initiative] is being co-managed by members of the voluntary sector and the federal government. A new secretariat created by the Voluntary Sector Roundtable [VSR] is responsible for coordinating the sector's participation in this endeavor. Secretariat staff reports to a senior steering committee composed of members of the VSR and other voluntary sector organizations working on the Initiative. The federal government has a task force on the voluntary sector located in the Privy Council Office(the department that supports the Prime Minister) to coordinate its involvement in the VSI. Staff of the Government of Canada's task force reports to a group of senior officials, and to a reference group of nine Cabinet Ministers chaired by the Treasury Board President. 1, record 1, English, - Voluntary%20Sector%20Initiative
