An example will illustrate how the computer assists the operation. Joe Smith delivers a truck load of grain to the elevator, and is directed by the central control board operator(CBO) to receiving pit. Using an alphanumeric keyboard, the CBO types in Smith's account number, the code number of the receiving pit(origin) and the code number of the selected bin(destination) in which his grain will be stored.
