Common of pasture appendant is the right which every freehold tenant of a manor possesses to feed his commonable beasts, such as litter, plough, or manure the arable land granted(i. e., horses, cattle and sheep) upon the lord's waste, provided they are "levant" and "couchant" on the tenant's freehold land.... The right of common appendant cannot be created since the statute "Quia Emptores", 1289, that statute having prohibited the creation of new manors; and the land to which such a right is appendant must originally have been arable.(Jowitt's, 2nd ed., 1977, p. 387) 2, record 2, English, - common%20of%20pasture%20appendant

Domesticated animals emit methane. The second-most important greenhouse gas after carbon dioxide, methane, is produced by cattle, dairy cows, buffalo, goats, sheep, camels, pigs, and horses. Most livestock-related methane emissions are produced by "enteric fermentation" of food by bacteria and other microbes in the animals’ digestive tracts; another source is the decomposition of animal manure. Livestock account for 30% of the methane emissions from human activities. 1, record 3, English, - livestock%2Drelated%20methane%20emissions

Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 CONT
1, record 3, French, - %C3%A9missions%20de%20m%C3%A9thane%20attribuables%20au%20b%C3%A9tail
