The greatest of the international soccer competitions representing world supremacy in the sport. It is open to any country that is affiliated with FIFA(Fédération Internationale de Football Association), and the finals are played every four years, between the Summer Olympic Games’ years. The competition is essentially open, but each nation is generally represented by its best professional players. The entries(more than 100) are reduced to 14 teams by a series of regional play-offs; along with the defending champions and the host country, they make up the final 16. The final rounds are played in the host country over a period of about three weeks. A wingback is a member of a football, i. e. soccer team. They play on the left or right wing(that's one or other side of the pitch only), and combine 2 roles. They act as defenders, but also seek to move forward to attack where possible. However, moving forward can create a gap in defence... when the team the wingback is pressing against launches a speedy counter-attack on the break, and gets behind the wingback. 5, record 5, English, - wingback

Ultimate is a team sport in which the team with the higher point total at the end of the game wins. It is played with two teams of seven players on a rectangular field with an end zone at each end. A goal, worth 1 point, is scored when a player/thrower passes the disc to a teammate and it is successfully caught within the confines of the end zone his or her team is attacking. Solely passing the disc from one player to another may advance the disc. A player may not run while in possession of the disc. 3, record 8, English, - ultimate%20frisbee

... field handball, team court game. Despite its status as an Olympic sport, the game is virtually unknown in the United States. Originated in central Europe in the early 1900s as an outdoor game, it combines elements of soccer and basketball. The fast-paced play of 7-or 11-person teams has as its object the hurling of a cantaloupe-sized ball into a goal. Players may run or dribble three steps with the ball, but most advancement comes from passing. Fouls result in free throws and penalty throws. 2, record 12, English, - field%20handball

4, record 12, French, - handball%20%C3%A0%20onze
