The uniformity ratio is the ratio between the two span lengths expressed as a percentage of the longer length. The fibrograph provides a relatively rapid method for reproducibly measuring the length and length uniformity of fiber samples, and fibrograph test data are used in research studies and in qualitative surveys such as checking commercial staple length classifications and assembling cotton bales into uniform lots. 5, record 1, English, - fibre%20uniformity%20ratio

2, record 1, French, - rapport%20d%27uniformit%C3%A9

Record number: 18, Textual support number: 2 CONT
The dynamic amplification factor(DAF) is an important parameter in the design of highway bridges and yet no worldwide consensus has been reached so far as to its value. Some disagreement exists between provisions of various national bridge codes. This is because the DAF depends, in addition to the maximum span or the natural frequency, on many other parameters that are difficult to take into account with reasonable accuracy. Vehicle speed, weight, and dynamic characteristics, the state of the structure, roadway roughness, expansion joints, the type of bridge supports, soil-structure interaction, and influence of secondary elements are some aspects influencing the DAF. This study reviews the analytical and experimental findings on bridge dynamics and the evaluation of the DAF. 3, record 18, English, - dynamic%20amplification%20factor

Time span is capable of ranking job contents over the whole range from chairman to shop floor, but it is more often used to evaluate jobs in middle and senior management. The procedure is to identify the time span of discretion-i. e. for how long can the incumbent of a job be left alone by his supervisor.... One way of identifying the time span for any job is to consider how long it might be before it became obvious that the present incumbent was either very good or very poor at it.
