Rammer test.... A test for investigating the resistance of a geotextile to puncturing by falling stones has been developed by the Bundesanstalt fur Wasserbau... in Germany. This test is carried out with a special 30 kg rammer.... The rammer test is carried out with a fall height of 2. 0 m or 1. 0 m depending on the stone to be used in the construction. The geotextile is placed on a layer of compacted sand and kept in place by means of a 170 kg concrete ring. Three tests are carried out in the machine, cross and diagonal direction of the geotextile. A geotextile is considered to be puncture resistant in this test if all the tests carried out show no puncturing. Each test is carried out on a new specimen. 1, record 15, English, - rammer%20test

Percement. 2, record 15, French, - essai%20de%20percement%20au%20poin%C3%A7on

A geotextile is considered to be puncture resistant in this test if all the tests carried out show no puncturing, Each test is carried out on a new specimen. 1, record 16, English, - puncture%20resistant

The conventional pavement underdrain system consists of a perforated pipe collector, a gravel layer around the pipe to prevent its clogging, and a sand filter layer around the gravel to prevent migration of the natural soil from entering the gravel.... A major use of fabrics has been to vastly alter this type of underdrain system. Shown in Figure 5. 2(b) are the schematic diagrams of a replacement of the conventional method using a fabric-wrapped stone aggregate(with or without the perforated pipe) placed directly in an excavated trench. 1, record 19, English, - pavement%20underdrain%20system
