Architectural technicians hold a sort of hybrid role in the field of planning and drafting building schematics. Generally speaking, these technicians are concerned with the technical and scientific areas which affect architectural design. When employed in architectural firms, they are typically tasked with assisting with sections of drawings that must be scientifically precise and conform to certain technological specifications. These technicians also work in engineering firms, where the goal is to incorporate scientific and technological information from engineering design teams into working drafts, drawings, and schematics. For architectural firms, these technicians maintain roles which involve investigating necessary technology and limitations in construction. They typically work with contractors and construction design teams to assess structural needs which may be based on the function of the building, as well as examine expected "stressors" which may impact the completed structure. The worked stone bridge on the east side of the Shokintel has a length of about 5.96 meter, width of about 0.70 meters and thickness of about 0.36 meters. When its architectural structure is considered, the stone bridge might appear to be a straight line that is somewhat too strong for a guiding path to a tea garden which should be very natural. Actually, without being at all unnatural, it harmonizes well with spatial composition of the garden architecture.

In modern architectural design, the desire for large glass areas in the exterior wall has stimulated the use of prefabricated panels in curtain wall that are simply building skins with no load-bearing characteristics. The cargo tank of the FSO is designed by the Leak Before Failure(LBF) concept in conformity with the self-supporting tank type B in IMO Gas Code. In fatigue design of the type B tank, the builder thought it indispensable that the actual structural construction tolerance be better than the tolerance assumed in the design. Although the hull structure is not subjected to the type B by IMO Gas Code, it structure was evaluated in order to ensure reliability equivalent to that of the cargo tank.
