In describing the range of claimants to whom the manufacturers owed the new privity-less duty of care, Lord Atkin used the term "consumers" or "ultimate consumers". Thus, where someone buys a bottle of soda pop in a restaurant, a drugstore, a cigar store, or from some other retailer, he may launch an action, not only against the seller, but against the manufacturer of that product, or a subsequent purchaser from the original buyer. 1, record 10, English, - privity%2Dless%20duty%20of%20care

1, record 10, French, - devoir%20de%20prudence%20en%20l%27absence%20de%20lien%20contractuel

The marketing authorization must set out, inter alia, the name of the product, the pharmaceutical dosage form, the quantitative formula(including excipients) per unit dose(using INNs [international nonproprietary names] or national generic names where they exist), the shelf-life and storage conditions, and packaging characteristics. It specifies the information on which authorization is based(e. g. "The product(s) must conform with all the details provided in the application and as modified in subsequent correspondence"). It also contains the product information approved for health professionals and the public, the sales category, the name and address of the holder of the authorization, and the period of validity of the authorization. Once a product has been given marketing authorization, it is included on a list of authorized products-the register-and is often said to be "registered" or to "have registration". The name APUD was coined for amine precursor uptake and decarboxylation; this process is similar to that seen in neurones. APUD cells were named by Pearse to organize his observations on peptide-secreting cells, particularly those from the GI tract. These cells take up precursors of biologically active amines to produce active amine through intracellular decarboxylation with subsequent storage of the amine product in secretory vesicles. APUD cells may have neuroectodermal and endodermal origins but this remains to be proven. 1, record 19, English, - amine%20precursor%20uptake%20and%20decarboxylation
