The First Nations Forestry Program(FNFP) is a partnership program between First Nations and the Government of Canada. The purpose of the program is to improve economic conditions in status First Nation communities with full consideration of the principles of sustainable forest management.

En 2012, Affaires autochtones et Développement du Nord Canada et le Bureau de la traduction ont recommandé les deux majuscules initiales au terme «Première Nation». Dans les appellations officielles, ce terme peut être orthographié différemment. Il faut alors respecter la graphie utilisée même si elle n'est pas conforme à cette recommandation.

Canadian International Development Agency. The Machet Vet is a print-based extension program in literacy and agriculture. Machet Vet, creole for "Green Machete", is the Haitian adaptation of education material on sustainable agriculture, livestock production and forestry which was developed in Nicaragua.

A forest for All, the Canadian Pulp and Paper Association's third education program and its first for high school students and their teachers, was two and one-half years in development. It was launched in April 1994, and takes the form of a simulation game whose themes are sustainable forestry and the uses of forest land in Canada. Because forests and forestry are so different across Canada, two scenarios are provided : Boreala in central Canada and Arborea in the West.
