Canadian Rural Partnership. The one-year program funded 112 projects in the 2001-2002 funding year. The primary focus of the Initiative was one of the 11 priority areas developed by rural Canadians :"Strengthening rural community capacity building, leadership and skills development. "The overall objective of the Initiative was to help rural and remote communities respond to community development challenges by supporting the development and adoption of long-term sustainable rural development strategies that strengthen their ability to build local solutions to local challenges.

Partenariat rural canadien. Ce programme d'un an a permis de financer 112 projets pendant l'année de financement de 2001-2002. L'initiative visait essentiellement l'un des 11 domaines prioritaires déterminés par les Canadiens des régions rurales, soit : Renforcer le développement des capacités communautaires, le leadership et le perfectionnement des compétences au sein des collectivités rurales. L'objectif global de l'Initiative de développement rural était d'aider les collectivités rurales et éloignées à faire face aux problèmes de développement des collectivités en favorisant l'élaboration et l'adoption de stratégies de développement rural viables, à long terme, qui permettent d'accroître leur capacité de trouver des solutions locales aux problèmes locaux.
