... groundwater pumping will continue to be conducted in an environmentally conservative manner as was done during the 1990-91 and 1991-92 runoff years until there has been a substantial recovery in soil moisture and water table conditions in areas of Types B, C, and D vegetation that have been affected by groundwater pumping. The Standing Committee will establish annual pumping programs based on an evaluation of current conditions, including soil moisture level, water table depth, degree of water table recovery, soil type, vegetation conditions, the results of studies pertaining to vegetation recovery, and compliance with the goals of the Agreement. 5, record 2, English, - recovery
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 2 CONT
The plant communities that we monitor require periodic connection to the groundwater for long-term survival and recovery from drought. Unfortunately, the on/off status often is not an accurate indicator of whether groundwater is reaching the plant root zone, but the rise of water above the water table due to capillarity is detected easily by the monitoring. Using the soil water and groundwater data, we determine which monitoring sites are connected with the water table and which still need water table recovery. 6, record 2, English, - recovery

First, the raw score is determined which is generally the number of questions the candidate answers correctly. After the results are analyzed, a band score table is constructed for the test. The band score table is then applied to the raw score to determine the final score. Typically, a band score covers a range of scores and bands [that] are reported in five point increments. This method is called band scoring. Example : A range of raw scores from 45 to 47 are assigned a band score of 80. If you receive a raw score of either 45, 46 or 47, your final score would be 80. 3, record 11, English, - band%20scoring

If you receive a raw score of either 45, 46 or 47, your final score would be 80. 1, record 12, English, - band%20score%20table

Dry land salinization occurs following a shift from native vegetation to annual grain crops which use less water. More water percolates into the soils raising the water table. The higher water table results in more areas where the water comes to the surface and evaporates leaving the salts behind. 1, record 17, English, - dry%20land%20salinization
