Hydrological Data Collection. In order to model the hydrology of a stream study segment over a range of flow rates, it is necessary to collect specific data defining the hydraulic boundary conditions. Boundary conditions define the target hydraulic simulation output, i. e. the desired flow rate, velocity and water surface elevation at the up-stream and down-stream ends of the segment. Hydraulic boundary are typically defined by flow rate, velocity magnitude and direction and/or water surface elevation. Boundary conditions, for instream flow analysis, are usually defined at the up-stream or down-stream boundaries of the study segment. In addition to the boundary conditions it is important to collect both quantitative and qualitative hydraulic information within the boundaries of the study segment. This additional data is used for model calibration and verification.

A kind of molecular sensing is thought to guide growing axons. The axons have specialized tips, called growth cones that can recognize the proper pathways. They do so by sensing a variety of specific molecules laid out on the surface of, or even released from, cells located along the pathway. The target itself may also release the necessary molecular cues. Removing these cues(by genetic or surgical manipulation) can cause the axons to grow aimlessly.

The sequences hybridize on the corresponding target sequences on the combed DNA, and are further on detected using fluorescent antibodies. The physical adsorption method for the immobilization of enzyme is based on the physical adsorption of enzyme protein on the surface of water-insoluble carriers. This method often causes little or no conformational change of the enzyme protein, or destruction of its active center. Accordingly, if a suitable carrier for the target enzyme is found, this method may be both simple and effective. However, this method has the disadvantage that the adsorbed enzyme may leak from the carrier during utilization, because the binding force between the enzyme protein and carrier is weak.
