One aim of the National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy's Eco-efficiency Program is to advise the federal government on establishing specific targets to help industry and other sectors become significantly more eco-efficient within one generation, and on the implications of the targets for development of new technologies. The program will investigate the possible development of a measurement system for eco-efficiency, including methods of assessing the eco-efficiency concept.
