A classification framework for writing educational objectives. There are three domains : the cognitive, affective and psychomotor-the latter is a later addition to Dr Bloom's original taxonomy. Within each domain there are further levels. In the cognitive domain, for example, there are six levels : knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis and evaluation. The taxonomy is hierarchical and each level increases in difficulty and builds on and incorporates previous levels. 1, record 1, English, - Bloom%26rsquo%3Bs%20taxonomy

Taxonomy, the scientific discipline that is concerned with the classification of life forms, owes a great deal to the Swedish naturalist Carl Linnaeus(1707 1778), the originator of the binomial nomenclature still used today. His system consists in giving each species a two-part latinized name and grouping species in a genus on the basis of common characteristics genus, genera in an order, and orders in a class. 1, record 3, English, - common%20characteristic

1, record 3, French, - caract%C3%A9ristique%20commune
